PORTA DI S.ROSALIA GIA’ DI S.GIORGIO
Porta San Giorgio was built in Palermo in 1134. It has the same architectural style of Porta Sant’Agata. The gateway was rebuilt in 1445, in 1470 and in 1724 thanks to the architect Andrea Palma. It is composed of columns places on bases, decorated with capitals. Porta San Giorgio is also called Porta Santa Rosalia and it was demolished in 1853.
