PORTA MAQUEDA
Porta Maqueda was built in 1600 by the will of Bernardino Cardenas. It had a formix made of cut stone, but without ornaments.The gateway has been rebuilt twice, in 1776 and in 1780. It was demolished in 1880 to leave space for the current Giuseppe Verdi Square.
