PORTA CARINI
Porta Carini is located in the northern part of Palermo. It is the only one in that zone that survived at the building of Verdi Square, even if it is different from the original one. Its origins are uncertain, we only know that it already existed before 1310 and that it had a simple architecture, since it was formed by a stone arch and it had no decorations.
