PORTA DELLA CALCINA
Porta della Calcina is an historical gate of Palermo. It was built between 1560 and 1590 by an unknown artist but actually it is completely destroyed. The latest news about its use dates back to 1684, in order to let out the bronze statue of Carl II. In general, as the other gates near La Cala, it had a utilitarian function, because all the goods from the port passed through this gate.
